The Kindred Project
Plain-language scam awareness workshops delivered to community groups, RSLs, libraries and council programs across Melbourne. Practical. Warm. Built for seniors.
The good news β awareness is the most powerful protection available. A senior who knows what to look for is far less likely to become a victim.
Five simple steps that cover almost every scam situation. Practical, memorable and effective β even in a moment of stress.
60 minutes. Plain language. No technology required. Participants leave with a simple method they can use immediately.
Real scam scenarios. Real examples from current Australian patterns. Interactive exercises seniors can apply immediately.
No jargon. No technology. No condescension. We go at the pace of the room and make sure everyone leaves feeling capable.
Scams are sophisticated β anyone can be targeted. We remove shame from the room and create space for honest conversation.
Every participant leaves with a printed PAUSE card and a resource sheet with key contacts and reporting channels.
We partner with organisations who care about the seniors in their community.
Community safety programs, aged services initiatives and council-funded education programs.
Community education sessions and digital literacy programs for local residents.
Member safety events and community awareness sessions for veterans and their families.
Community group sessions and outreach programs for local congregations.
Resident safety workshops and family information sessions for independent living communities.
Community programs and drop-in sessions for local residents of all backgrounds.
The Kindred Project was founded by Sach Ganvir β a Melbourne-based IT professional with over 15 years of experience across software systems, project management, business transformation and emerging AI technologies.
Throughout his career, Sach has seen firsthand how digital systems can be used both to empower and to exploit. That experience, combined with a deep care for the community, led him to create The Kindred Project β a practical, plain-language scam awareness program built specifically for Australian seniors.
The Kindred Project is independent, community-funded and not affiliated with any bank, government agency or financial institution.
The Kindred Project was created to help people feel safer when navigating suspicious calls, messages and online activity. We understand that trust must be earned.
